Allergies and Anaphylaxis
At Ribchester St Wilfrid’s CE Primary School, we take allergies and anaphylaxis extremely seriously. The safety and wellbeing of all children, staff and visitors is our highest priority, and we have rigorous procedures in place to ensure that anyone with a known allergy is supported and cared for effectively.
We work in partnership with Kitt Medical, who provide our emergency adrenaline auto-injectors (EpiPens), ensuring that medication is readily available when needed. All staff receive training to recognise the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction and anaphylaxis, and are trained in the safe administration of emergency medication. Regular updates and refresher training help to ensure that staff remain confident and prepared to respond quickly in the event of an emergency.
We are committed to working closely with families and healthcare professionals to minimise risks and provide a safe environment for everyone in our school community.
Please refer to our Allergy and Anaphylaxis Policy for further information about the procedures and protocols we have in place.
