A Message to Our Parents
At our school, we believe that every child should have the chance to enjoy being active, discover new sports, and develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. Thanks to the PE and Sports Premium funding, we’ve been able to create exciting opportunities that make physical activity fun and accessible for all our pupils.
How We’re Using Our Sports Premium Funding
For the 2025–2026 school year, we’ve invested our PE and Sports Premium funding to give every child more opportunities to be active, try new sports, and enjoy healthy lifestyles.
Exciting Partnerships and Activities
We’ve teamed up with Edstart Sports Coaches to provide a wide range of fun and engaging enrichment activities throughout the day, lunchtimes and after school. Coach Becks has been delivering high-quality sessions for all children, from Pre-School to Year 6, introducing sports such as cricket, hockey, and football. This is in addition to our own sports coach who teaches the national curriculum (paid for from the main school budget).
We’ve also partnered with FitKidz, who have brought fitness days and body science workshops to school, helping children learn about health in an exciting way. In addition, our work with Progressive Sports means pupils can experience unique activities like Nerf wars, ultimate frisbee, archery, fencing, glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, and tri-golf—making being active even more fun!
Building Skills and Confidence
All children have taken part in Bikeability, and we’ve seen fantastic progress, especially among our youngest pupils. These sessions help children develop confidence and safety skills when cycling.
Competitions and Coaching
Starting January 2026, we’ll be running half-termly inter-house competitions in a variety of sports. Before each event, children will enjoy training sessions with qualified coaches, giving them the chance to learn new skills and broaden their sporting experiences.
