Safeguarding at Ribchester St Wilfrid’s
At Ribchester St Wilfrid’s, keeping children safe is our top priority. Safeguarding is something we all share responsibility for, and as a school team we work hard every day to make sure every child feels safe, happy and valued.
We are fully committed to ensuring all children are safeguarded and will:
- Ensure that every child has an identified adult in school they can go to if they are worried or in difficulty.
- Model and maintain a culture where children feel secure and are listened to without fear of judgement.
- Plan meaningful opportunities and activities in the curriculum to equip children with the skills they need to stay safe, including online.
- Ensure the school is always a safe environment by carrying out stringent vetting checks on all adults working with our children.
- Protect children’s identities and images in any published information, including on the school website and in the media.
- Make any referrals necessary to safeguard the well-being of a pupil.
