At Ribchester St Wilfrid’s, keeping children safe is our top priority. Safeguarding is something we all share responsibility for, and as a school team we work hard every day to make sure every child feels safe, happy and valued.

We are fully committed to ensuring all children are safeguarded and will:

Ensure that every child has an identified adult in school they can go to if they are worried or in difficulty.
Model and maintain a culture where children feel secure and are listened to without fear of judgement.
Plan meaningful opportunities and activities in the curriculum to equip children with the skills they need to stay safe, including online.
Ensure the school is always a safe environment by carrying out stringent vetting checks on all adults working with our children.
Protect children’s identities and images in any published information, including on the school website and in the media.
Make any referrals necessary to safeguard the well-being of a pupil.
