Welcome to Wyre Class

Our Year 5 and 6 class at St. Wilfrid’s is led by Mrs Taylor who is supported by Mrs Gregson and Mrs Gallagher. Our primary focus is on  helping our pupils grow into confident, independent learners who are ready for the next step in their life journey.

Every day is filled with opportunities to develop independence, self-awareness and a love of learning. Our older pupils are true role models in school life, proudly living out our six school values: courage, friendship, perseverance, respect, trust and thankfulness.

As part of the St. Wilfrid’s family, our class plays a special role in our ‘Seeds and Gardeners’ buddy system, where our older children support and nurture the younger ones - showing care, kindness and leadership in all that they do.

We also enjoy many memorable experiences together, from our annual residential trips to the exciting chance to perform on a professional stage. These moments help our children build teamwork, resilience and confidence skills that will serve them well wherever their learning takes them next.

In Mrs Taylor’s class, every child is encouraged to shine, take responsibility, and make a difference - because at St. Wilfrid’s, we truly are one big family.
