Accessibility and Inclusion at Our School
At our school, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in an environment that celebrates individuality and removes barriers. We are proud to offer a fully inclusive setting where accessibility is at the heart of everything we do. Our facilities are designed to be welcoming and practical for all, and we provide a wide range of resources and support to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.

We operate an open-door policy for parents, carers, pupils, and staff because we know that strong partnerships make a real difference. Whether you have questions, concerns, or ideas, we are always here to listen and work together. Every individual’s needs are respected and accommodated—whether that means adapting learning materials, providing assistive technology, or offering tailored support plans.

Our commitment goes beyond compliance; it’s about creating a warm, nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and included. We believe accessibility is not just about physical spaces—it’s about attitudes, understanding, and collaboration. Together, we ensure that every member of our school community can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our school building is all on one level and is wheelchair accessible, with two access points:

  • the original school front doors, leading into the school hall; and
  • via a ramp at the rear of the school, which leads into the Calder (Reception / Year 1) classroom.

The school has appropriate disabled changing and toilet facilities.

We ensure that all equipment used is accessible to all children regardless of their needs.
